They say history repeats... and I had no reason to believe it till yesterday... But now I do.. I strongly do...
It had happened in the early 20th century... when Mahatma Gandhi called for a peaceful war against British raj.... and now its happening again in the early 21st century when Shri Anna Hazare called for a peaceful war against "our own" corrupt government... Yes it happens only in India that peaceful agitators shake the strong pillars of unauthorized / unjustified government...
Now India has accepted Anna Hazare and his capable team to lead her in the war against corruption... Whole nation is resonting with his call.... there are peaceful agitations, rallies, silent marches, candle walks and most importantly - 'traffic jams' (because of rallies) we are proud of...
There are rounds of anshans, there is FL (fasting leave), there is holi (fire) of government version of lokpal bill, there is civil order disobedience, there is movement of self arrest and what not.... India is burning...
Every nook and corner of India wants an Indian political system free from corruption... Be it a small village in the interiors of Assam or a posh locality in a breath taking skyline of Mumbai... Every where there is a loud scream against corruption... because we have had enough of it... we are really tired of it and we want to get rid of it now... NOW....
Every Indian wants a corruption free India... Bharat is protesting as hard as India is... The class is fighting and mass is fighting too... teens are fighting, youths are fighting, middle aged and age olds are fighting too... Males are fighting and females are fighting too... Industrialists are fighting and artists are fighting too... No one wants to be left behind in this war against the political system that just not supports but protects the corrupts... (Doesn't it remind us the history lessons?)
So true Anna is when he calls this struggle as 2nd Freedom Fight of India!... We are now very well determined to end this 64 year long (counting from 15th August 1947) era of corrupt India...
Media is also playing a very critical role in shaping up this freedom struggle... One must appreciate its commitment to this cause... The amount of coverage they are giving to whole of this act is really benefiting the Anna's team...
... plus the best part of this 2nd freedom fight (and which was lacking in early 20th century) is the wide spread of social media... we have one more channel to vent out our anger and rage... Almost every one is updating there FB statuses with a word or two against corruption... Few say "I am Anna", few of them are cursing government, few of them supporting Anna, few of them have pledge to change their profile photographs to Anna's photo till the time we win this battle... Though negligible but this has helped to spread the awareness among the youth...

Actually if you see this war is not against any particular political party... Its against the whole system which feeds corruption... and broadly speaking no single party is an option to this.... but this time it happens to be UPA.. They have screwed it big time... Now its time for them to bare the brunt...
Thankfully our corrupt government has already shown the signs of their weakening stand by accepting conditions of Anna... Now nothing much is left in their hands when whole India has awaken to the needs of time... So now there is much surety that long awaited "Jan Lokpal Bill" will see the light of the day with out much of a modification, as like RTI (Right to Information) Act...
RTI backfired the government and JLB will do the same task even more ferociously...
... and for this we must give whole credit to Shri Anna Hazare who holds the power to fire the asses of generally 'peace loving' Indians and ably directing us through this 'do or die' war against corruption...
Sounds good...??? But wait.. there is no end to this here...
Its fine we are all burning now and the JLB shall pass through the parliament... But real challenge is to keep this fire burning till coming assembly elections... and because we are very forgiving and I would not wonder if this totally corrupt government again comes in power in 2014... 3 years is quite a span.... (this is the only drawback of this fight) and if this happens then there would not be any shameful event in the history of India as this...
I agree that we do not have any better option than UPA as (though UPA has a long history of corruption), BJP and allies do not have any trustworthy leader to offer us... but still I would suggest that we keep on changing our governments every 5 years for at least next 20 - 25 years. This will make the political stage little turbulent every 5 years and stock markets would drop a little on the backdrop of this unstable government but this is the price we need to pay for allowing 64 years of corruption... this will ensure that there is enough manthan (churning) and we get the nectar in the form of corruption free India... (Each and every Indian should vote for this to happen ... and should vote religiously...)
P.S.: This is my 1st blog in English because unfortunately very few would take the pain to read it if it would have been written in Marathi... and I want more and more people to read this one and take the oath to vote in every single election and as long as they are living...
